A small sculpture representing the restored figure of the pidón (a man who worships a woman who sings verses every Good Friday morning in Alcalá de Guadaíra) to raise money for the procession of the Brotherhood of the Holy Burial.
It is made of patinated fired clay on a 40 cm high stained wooden base.
The intention was to capture the exact moment when the pidón (a man who worships a woman) proclaims one of the verses with strength and power, placing his entire body weight on his right leg, which is slightly bent forward, while his left leg, slightly bent and raised off the ground, is shown in a moment of momentum. His right hand is extended to the sky, and his left hand holds the plate where the people place their donations.
The strength of the figure is accompanied by the movement of his clothing, allowing the sculpture to be viewed from various perspectives, not just from the front.
