RESTORATION

«The restoration of a work of art is not only the conservation of its matter, but also the conservation of its soul.» Cesare Brandi

To define Conservation and Restoration services, it is necessary to refer to the 1987 Venice Charter, which establishes the definitions.

My degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets allows me to carry out scientific and meticulous interventions, respecting the original work and following established criteria.

Thanks to my training in imagery and specializing in sculpture restoration, I have the ability to more specifically understand the deterioration of an image and be able to address the source to stop it and properly repair the damage caused. And, not only to remove and recover the object in question, but also to ensure its proper subsequent conservation to prevent further deterioration.

As an imagery maker, restorer, Christian, and member of a religious brotherhood, I am aware that altarpieces and sculptural ensembles associated with these or religious spaces have an added intangible value: religious sentiment. Therefore, any intervention on a cultural asset within this environment must take into account and respect this characteristic.
